Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of loremipsem.com and the tools, pages, and generated output available on it (collectively, the "Service"), operated by LoremIpsem ("we," "us," or "our"). By visiting the Service or using the generator, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time as described in the Changes to these Terms section below. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms for that continued use.

License to use generated text

The Service generates placeholder ("Lorem Ipsum"-style) text locally in your browser for use in design mockups, prototypes, layout testing, documentation, and similar non-editorial contexts. To the extent we hold any rights in the specific generated output, we grant you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to copy, adapt, and use that output for any lawful purpose, including commercial projects.

This license covers the generated placeholder strings themselves. It does not extend to our logo, brand name, site design, or other original content on this website (see Intellectual property below), and it does not make us a source of legal, editorial, or translation advice about the text you ultimately publish.

No warranty

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser, device, or assistive technology, or that generated text will be free of quirks, repetition, or rendering issues in every context.

You are responsible for reviewing and validating any output before relying on it in a production environment, a client deliverable, or a regulated context.

Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure, or related systems (including automated scraping at a volume that degrades performance for other users);
• Use the Service to generate content intended to deceive, defraud, or misrepresent factual claims as genuine (for example, presenting generated placeholder text as real testimonials, credentials, or factual statements to end users);
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract non-public source code from the Service beyond what is exposed through ordinary browser developer tools;
• Use the Service in a manner that violates applicable law, infringes third-party rights, or breaches these Terms.

Intellectual property

The LoremIpsem name, logo, site design, original editorial content (including our guide and resource articles), and underlying source code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license to generated placeholder text described above, nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership or license in our branding, design, or original written content to you.

If you believe content on this Service infringes your intellectual property rights, contact us at happy.mynds@gmail.com with enough detail (the material in question and your basis for the claim) for us to investigate.

Advertising & third parties

The Service does not currently display Google AdSense ads or other third-party advertisement units. It may load Google Analytics for aggregated measurement when enabled in our deployment configuration, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may also link to external resources (typography references, font providers, encyclopedic sources) for informational purposes. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party sites. Clicking a third-party link takes you to a site outside our control, governed by that site's own terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LoremIpsem and its operators, contributors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for the free tier described here, is zero) or fifty US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LoremIpsem and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or from content you publish using generated output without appropriate review.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes to the Service, legal requirements, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Minor clarifications or typographical corrections may be made without a corresponding notice. We encourage you to review this page occasionally if you rely on the Service regularly.

Termination & availability

Because the Service does not require an account for its core generator functionality, "termination" primarily concerns our ability to modify or discontinue features. We may add, change, or remove functionality, or suspend availability temporarily for maintenance, security, or operational reasons, without prior notice. We aim to keep disruptions brief and infrequent.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the substantive laws of the jurisdiction in which the entity operating LoremIpsem is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your home jurisdiction provide non-waivable rights that override this section.
